Cancellation of Orders


An order can be cancelled if it has not yet processed (Cut, Sheared or Plate Saw Cut). If you need to cancel an order, please call immediately to ensure that we cancel the order before it processed.

Returns


Once an order has been processed, it cannot be returned. Stock size goods that have been fulfilled by our service center may be returned with 30% restock fee. If you need to return a stock size item, you may ship it back to us at:

All returns must include an RMA provided by Midwest Steel Supply. Material will be inspected upon its return to Midwest Steel Supply and the refund will be processed accordingly. If the material has been cut, machined, or gone through any secondary processing, your request for return will be denied.

Wrong Material or Damaged Goods


At Midwest Steel Supply we take pride in supplying quality metal at a low price. We understand that mistakes can happen, if Midwest Steel Supply processes an order incorrectly we will make it a priority to correct your order. Midwest Steel Supply’s return policy does not apply when we have made an error in quantity, quality, products processed.

Shipment and Delivery


Goods are shipped F.O.B destination unless otherwise requested. When goods have been delivered from the freight carrier for shipment to a customer and have been signed for by the carrier in good condition, our responsibility ends. Goods that are shipped F.O.B shipping point (collect), Midwest Steel Supply’s responsibility ends when the freight carrier has signed for the goods. Midwest Steel Supply is always ready and willing to furnish duplicate bills of lading and otherwise render assistance in making claims for damages against a carrier. Shipments should always be examined carefully before being accepted from the carrier.

Claims, Damages, Warranties and Guarantees


IT IS UNDERSTOOD THAT WE MAKE AND ARE BOUND BY NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER, AND WARRANTIES OR MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE EXPRESSLY HEREBY.
Claims against us of all kinds, including but not limited to those for defects, damages, shortages and allowances, must be made promptly and in no event later than seven (7) calander days from billing. We are not responsible for errors in “taking off” lists of materials. Our liability for material found to be defective is limited to such defects that develop or appear immediately upon delivery or installation. In this event the articles must be returned to us, or if we so direct, to the mill, and our liability shall be limited to replacement of defective articles at our option and/or giving credit for the amount of the purchase price. No claims for labor, cartage, or other consequential or direct damages shall be made or allowed against us. It is understood that Midwest Steel Supply is not bound by any warranties, express or implied, of any kind whatsoever.
